Holidays in Portaria
Portaria is located 600 meters west of the center of Pelion, very close to the city of Volos. You can see from above the Pagasitic bay and admire the panoramic view over the city, the port of Magnesia and the historical Makrinitsa. The village was an economic centre in the late 18th century, where every Thursday a fair was taking place with products from Portaria as well as other villages of Pelion. In the early twentieth century, a roadway was built which connected it with the city of Volos.
